- TRAPPERS- A great local diner in Ludlow VT. Go there for the homecooked feel and some good Vermontian ambiance.
- The Food Court at Jackson Gore- OKEMO- Pretty stellar for lodge food! You can get your standard fries and pizza but they also have an incredible fresh salad bar with plenty of options for spicing up your shrubbery. These things are monsterous, plenty to share!
- Coleman Brook Tavern- OKEMO- The perfect amount of upscale for a ski resort. CBT, as the locals call it, has an incredible menu of gustatory delights, from juicy steaks to meaty fish to hearty vegetarian dishes. They are known for their extensive selection of nearly 700 vintages and received the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence for 2011. We enjoyed an aperitif of red wine, selected by Manager Marc Miller, and indulged in a sampling of gourmet apps before digging into our entrees; two sesame-encrusted tuna, one sea bass special, and one cashew crusted chicken. We ended the meal with s'mores that we roasted ourselves on a table-top flame.

- Timbers Restaurant- SUGARBUSH- The architecture of Timbers is almost as inspiring as the food. You walk in to soaring post-and-beam ceilings and farmhouse-chic light fixtures that speak to the beautifully rusticity of Vermont culture. We had an opportunity to chat with Timbers' resident Chef Gerry Nooney about the great philosophy of his food.... quality ingredients and local whenever possible (that includes the libations!) They use produce from their own slopeside gardens, and poultry and pork from farmers right in town. It's a commitment you can taste. Local means fresh and fresh means delicious! What's more, the food doesn't need to be pumped with a bunch of preservatives to withstand a long shipping process. We enjoyed Yak sausage flavored with Lawson's Finest Maple Beer, a cheese platter of Green Mountain Gore-Dawn-Zola and Blythedale Farm Camembert, Shetland Organic Salmon over wild rice cakes, Misty Knoll Free-Form Chicken Ravioli with sage cream, and USDA Prime Strip Steak with buttermilk red bliss smashed potatoes. Perfection on a plate!
